This easy-to-make DIY garden trellis gives vines a place to climb, and attaches to a flat fence.

You can make it with just a few cheap fence pickets cut into strips!

Prep the wood by sanding both sides of the fence pickets.

Cut the fence pickets into slats using a table saw.

If you want to stain or paint your trellis, do it now before assembling.

Assemble your trellis.  I used a 3 inch wide piece of scrap wood as a spacer.

Lean it against your fence or attach it with a few nails.

Over time your plants will climb and vine around the trellis.
